DC JAZZFEST - August 31st to September 4th

This Jazz Festival presents a selection of the jazz genre’s most acclaimed artists as well as emerging artists, and provides enhanced exposure for the rich treasure trove of musicians from the Washington, DC area.


Bite of Brown Festival - September 3rd

The festival will feature food trucks offering complimentary samples to patrons. There will be live bands, DJs, a special guest performance, a play area for kids and an awards show. Be there to see who will win the first ever Bite of Brown Festival award voted by the community.


Pandemonium Night Jouvert - September 3rd

This is a paint, water and powder event that will be at 9001 Allentown Road from 9pm to 2pm. There will be water trucks on location and musical stylings by Dj FireOats, DJ Aaikil, DJ Spades, DJ Han and other special guest DJs. Carnival costumes and swim wear are welcomed.


DC Black Food & Wine Festival - September 3rd

This festival will feature your favorite food and wines from black-owned vendors. It will be at Sandlot Anacostia from 3pm to 8:30om and there will be DJs, a live band, a 360 photbooth, photo installations and games.


Sail La Vie - September 4th

This all inclusive breakfast boat ride will be on Labour Day Sunday from 10am to 2pm. Patrons will board the Cherry Blossom Boat at Alexandria Marina at 10am and set sail at 11am!


Soca On Sundays - September 4th

This brunch event from 12pm to 8pm will feature mimosas, Caribbean food and music from selected DJS.


Bam Bam Outdoor Night Party - September 4th

This is an all white outdoor event from 10pm to 3pm at Karma DC Live Music Venue. Everyone is free before 12pm and DJs Ricky Platinum and Kashrag would be live.


Caribbean Food and Wine Festival - September 4th

This event features the best in local wines, Caribbean menus, and music at the Howard County Fairground from 12om to 8pm. Patrons are treated to wine tasting by Linganore Winery, Reggae Wine, Society Wines, Ricco's Wine Ventures and Misfit Winery.


Bloom DMV - September 5th

This outdoor event will be held at Bloom Garden from 3pm to 10pm. Ladies are free before 6pm.


Culture Shop Calabash Tea - September 10th

This event features 4 Caribbean brands in theDMV- Calabash Tea, 3rd World Famous Mine Culture and DC is Caribbean. From 12pm to 6pm, they will ducate and entertain the community with live activations and shopping.


Fyah Oats Birthday Splash - September 10th

DJ FyahOats' Birthday celebration will be at Islands Lounge from 9pm to 2pm. This event will music the hottest music from 7 DJs!


Adams Morgan Day - September 11th

Adams Morgan Day has been a family-friendly celebration with music, art and activities for all ages. Patrons will meet neighborhood businesses, artists, and service organizations.


Dancehall Mania x Fete-ish - September 11th

This is an indoor day event from 5pm to 11pm featuring performances from Skillibeng and Lyrical. Pick your Poison!


Protoje: Lost in Time Tour - September 16th

Protoje with be at Silver Spring from 8pm with special guests Jesse Royal and Lila Ike. Protoje blends hip hop, soul and jazz into his nativesounds of reggae and dancehall.


Kes Liki Tiki Tour - September 17th

Kes the Band with be joined by Jimmy October and JPerry Official at Silver Spring as a part of his Liki Tiki Tour.


H Street Festival - September 17th

H Street Festival is one of the most anticipated and highly attended single day that has 14 staging areas that are diversely themed and programmed to target the different segments of audiences. The staging areas feature music of different genres, dance, youth based performances, interactive children’s program, fashion, heritage arts, poetry and many more.


H Street Festival at Lydia at H - September 17th

Three of DCs top DJs performing live on H Street Festival Day at the new hot spot Lydia on H. The event starts at 1pm and there will be food, cocktails, music, dance and hookah.


One Love Lime - September 23rd

The Real Happy Vibes One Love Lime at Union Market on Friday, September 23rd, from 5-9pm. It will feature Caribbean Entertainment from Image Band and DJ Sprang International.


The Brunch Tour - September 26th

Join Back to Basics, Tony X and the Hookie Life team for brunch, music and an after-party at Ivy City Smokehouse Dr eom 12pm to 8pm.


Congressional Black Caucas Foundation's Legislative Conference - September 28th to October 2nd

Join this in-person policy conference at the the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. There will be five days of premium programming and signature events including the Prayer Breakfast, National Town Hall, Phoenix Awards and Black Party. This year’s Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) theme is “Advancing Our Purpose. Elevating Our Power.”


CBC 2022 African & Caribbean Leadership Conference and Presidential Awards- September 29th

This leadership awards gala honors the accomplishments of renowned leaders in community development that primarily operate from a faith-based perspective, targeting major issues including religious liberty, civil rights, humanitarian concerns, social justice, economic development, and mission partnerships.
